The third annual Intel® Innovation event just wrapped up. And what an eventful two days it turned out to be, with two main stage keynotes (that have earned 2M+ views so far), 35+ breakout sessions, 80+ sponsors and exhibitors, and over a thousand of in-person attendees. Intel® Innovation 2023 promised a great deal, and the event did not disappoint.

The event was geared towards a technical audience, bringing together a crowd of technologists, customers/partners, media, analysts, and Intel® employees. This year’s main focus was on how Intel® empowers developers to take AI everywhere through the magic of silicon and software in the Siliconomy.

Intel® Developer Cloud Enters General Availability

One of the most exciting announcements at Innovation was the general availability of the Intel
® Developer Cloud. Developers, enterprises and startups can now accelerate AI with the latest Intel® hardware and software innovations, including the Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, Intel® Data Center GPU Max Series, and Habana® Gaudi2® Processor for Deep Learning.

The event also provided a strong platform to spotlight startups participating in the Intel® Liftoff for Startups program, and we sincerely hope that all of our program members found the experience valuable and rewarding.

Intel® Liftoff Startups in the Spotlight

Deep Render earned some well-deserved recognition, receiving the Inaugural Ignite Startup Innovation Award at Intel
® Innovation 2023. They were also featured in Intel® CEO Pat Gelsinger's opening keynote at the event.

Two more AI startups were featured in Pat’s keynote: Scala Biodesign and Antaris. Our engineering team deserves a special shoutout for their exceptional mentoring of these startups, both in the Intel® Liftoff and Intel® Ignite programs.

Highlights from Greg Lavender’s Keynote

Here’s Intel
® CTO Greg Lavender discussing how the Intel® Liftoff Program is accelerating innovative generative AI startups with technical training and access to performance-boosting hardware and software.

Intel® Liftoff member Beewant was featured in Greg’s keynote. Congratulations to the Beewant team on a great demo showcasing their joint project with Weaviate. You can view Beewant’s multimodal AI in action, here:

As for their experience at the Intel® Innovation 2023 conference, here is what Ahmed Joudad, the founder of Beewant, had to say:

"Our participation in the Intel® Innovation 2023 provided us with a prime opportunity to establish connections with Intel experts and the developer community, where we had the chance to put the latest toolkits and use cases to the test. Notably, Greg Lavender, Intel's CTO, showcased our multimodal AI solution during his keynote, focusing on its application in video analysis.

The Intel Liftoff team was exceptionally supportive throughout the event, introducing us to key experts who are at the forefront of innovation across hardware, software, and advanced technologies. This engagement allowed us to learn from the industry's brightest minds and refine our competitive edge, and now, armed with these valuable experiences, we are poised to reshape the future of multimodal AI."

Prediction Guard also deserves a special shoutout for making it into the keynote. Here, you can see Prediction Guard’s demo, showcasing how their solution cleanses LLM (language large model) output of inaccuracy and toxicity, using Intel's Habana® Gaudi2®.

Daniel Whitenack, founder of Prediction Guard, shared his thoughts on the event's impact:

"What a great event! First off, we were able to meet other innovative AI startups in the Intel® Liftoff program, along with Intel engineers who have helped us deploy our product on Habana® Gaudi2®. It was so great to deepen those relationships for future collaboration. We were also able to demo Prediction Guard running on Gaudi2 in Intel Developer Cloud. Intel® Liftoff startup program made it possible for us to be the first product on a new cloud offering and demo that in the CTO's keynote. Something I will never forget!"
