Neurological disorders are diseases of the nervous system. These disorders can affect the brain, and the nerves found in the human body. Few examples of neurological disorders are learning disabilities, autism and brain tumors. Early detection of the disorder can help heal the disease and prevent long-term impairments for individuals.

Prem Kumar Singh and his team members in their blog proposed a web application powered by Intel optimized AI frameworks and tools - NeuroAssist. They designed this web application to diagnose and treat neural disorders in children.

Learn more about these features and project on Medium and GitHub.

NeuroAssist application uses the following tools and frameworks:

  • Modin* - Modin is a drop-in replacement for the extensively used Python library, Pandas. Intel up streams all optimizations to open source Modin from 2024.2 AI Tools release.
  • Intel® Extension for Scikit-Learn* - Dynamically patches scikit-learn estimators while improving performance for machine learning algorithms.
  • Gradient Boosting Optimizations from Intel - XGBoost is a popular open source library for gradient boosting. XGBoost with Intel optimizations will automatically accelerate performance on Intel hardware without any code changes.
  • Intel® oneAPI Math Kernel Library (oneMKL) - Fast and most-used math library optimized for Intel hardware. This library helps the users to reach high performance with math solutions like NumPy, SciPy, MATLAB*.
  • Intel® Tiber™ Developer Cloud - Accelerates AI workloads using Intel optimized software on the latest Intel hardware.
