The past year has changed our world like never before. For businesses, unexpected challenges and circumstances meant adapting to new and complex work environments with solutions like flexible working models. And as businesses continue to evolve, they are seeking out business-class devices that will power their workforce in ways this new landscape now demands.

The innovative Intel vPro® platform delivers breakthrough performance for business and comprehensive multi-layer, hardware-based security features [1] , in addition to the enhanced remote manageability and stability needed to deliver next-gen connectivity, collaboration, and business-level security — all on one integrated and unrivaled business platform.

We recently introduced the 11th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® processors for notebooks, including the Intel® Evo™ vPro®  platform — the best thin and light laptop experience for business.[2] Today, we are expanding the suite of processors built for additional form factors: the 11th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® processors for business-class desktops, the Intel® Xeon® W-1300 processors for entry workstations, and coming soon, the 11th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® processors and Intel® Xeon® processors for high-performance business-class notebooks and mobile workstations.

Intel is proud to have worked collaboratively with long-term OEM partners to co-engineer these new processors. Our partnerships helped deliver the best performance outcomes, a strong suite of security features, and simplified manageability that will help businesses of all sizes better anticipate new changes and take advantage of future opportunities.

The business-class performance you’ve come to expect from the Intel vPro® platform
11th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® processors for desktops and Intel® Xeon® processors for entry workstations are built on a new desktop architecture called Cypress Cove — designed to transform hardware and software efficiency while improving business-class features for an impressive leap in performance.

Some of the improved business-class performance features include the AI-enabled productivity power of Intel® Deep Learning Boost. Additionally, Intel® Wi-Fi 6/6E (Gig+) provides up to 6X faster speeds in the office,[3] and nearly 3X faster speeds at home,[4] so users can enjoy a premium experience with a more reliable connection to support the most bandwidth-demanding apps, like videoconferencing or content sharing. The reliable connectivity of Thunderbolt™ 4 connectors enable today’s workforce to collaborate seamlessly and drive real-world productivity when and where they work.

Groundbreaking in their design, Intel® Xeon® W-1300 processors offer the latest in entry workstation performance and an expansion of the Intel vPro® platform benefits. These workstation processors also come equipped with error-correcting code (ECC) memory that helps ensure data integrity by finding and fixing up to 99% of soft memory errors[5] without workflow interruptions to the end user.

Enhanced security built into the Intel vPro® platform
Security starts with Intel. It’s in the very foundation of the Intel vPro® platform as it continues to set new standards for hardware-based security for business. Intel® Hardware Shield, available exclusively on the Intel vPro® platform, integrates advanced security features for more protected business productivity, including below-the-OS security features, application and enhanced data protection,* and advanced threat detection.*

Now with 11th Gen Windows-based desktops, and entry and mobile workstations, Intel® Hardware Shield includes Intel® Threat Detection Technology, the industry’s first silicon-enabled AI threat detection to help stop ransomware and cryptomining attacks. Mobile workstations now also have Intel® Control-Flow Enforcement Technology (Intel® CET) for hardware enabled protections against memory-based attacks.*

In addition to this enhanced security, Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT) provides enhanced cloud-based manageability with hardware-based remote remediation, no matter where end users are working, to help return compromised PCs to a known good state — even when the OS is down.**

Now businesses of all sizes can gain peace of mind knowing the Intel vPro® platform features help IT remotely and more securely manage all devices in the entire PC fleet — supporting security for IT and end users whenever and wherever business takes place.

The trusted value of the Intel vPro® platform
At Intel, we dedicate time, resources, and expertise to working with trusted partners of all sizes on every aspect of PC development and launch, while collaborating to incorporate Intel vPro® platform components directly into partner services and solutions.

And while much of the modern workforce grows increasingly mobile, there are still strong cases for businesses across all industries to continue investing in stationary PCs like desktops and high-performance workstations.

    • Stationary PCs powered by the Intel vPro® platform come with professional-grade tools to better accommodate specialized and demanding users, such as stunning creation and collaboration capabilities for immersive work experiences and the ability to multitask with ease, even with large data transfers running in the background.

    • Desktops offer flexibility to expand the platform with memory, storage, and peripherals to help lower total cost of ownership options and improve security.

    • Workstations provide ECC memory for mission-critical work and large data sets.

We look forward to introducing the full breadth of the 11th Gen processor suite with our upcoming launch of Intel® Core™ vPro® processors for mobile workstations as we continue to deliver an unrivaled platform across a wide variety of form factors for unmatched business computing.
