Laptop performance dropped after installing a heavy game

Hello,

I’m using a laptop with an Intel processor, and it used to run perfectly fine. But after I downloaded a heavy game from this site:

@https://fluxusteams.com/

my laptop became very slow. Even normal applications and browsing lag a lot now.

I’m not sure if this issue is because the game is too heavy for my system, or if something related to the Intel CPU/drivers is causing the slowdown.

Should I try updating my Intel graphics/processor drivers, or is a Windows reinstall recommended? Any guidance would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

So, everything waas fine until  you downloaded some game, and you want to pin the performance loss on the CPU and drivers, is that right?

You provided no information about your configuration.  You want to blame it on the graphics and processor, or windows ( even suggesting a reinstall) without any further testing.  And, with the game not running, your normal applications and browsing lag.

Seems to me to be pretty obvious - uninstall the "heavy" game, or do some serious debugging to see what is running in the background.

Do you know if the game installed a virus?  Do you see network activity that is abnormal?

You have a lot of work to do before you try pinning it on the processor (which you never identified) and the graphics you have.

To get you started:

What is your COMPLETE processor model number?

What is your laptop model number?

What graphics do you have?

How much memory do you have?

What OS version are you running?

How much disk space do you have available?

Is your bios updated?

What are the hardware requirements for this game?

Have you checked your startup tasks to see what is running?

This will get you started.
