Hello @ploom
Please install the latest driver for the 8Gen processor (31.0.101.2115) and do a quick test (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/124967/intel-core-i58250u-processor-6m-cache-up-to-3-40-ghz/downloads.html).
If the FPS still low please send me your SSU log (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html).
Also read this post: https://community.intel.com/t5/Developing-Games-on-Intel/README-first/m-p/1444212#M1943 . It has important information for legacy products.

Hi @ploom thank you for attempting the latest Gfx driver download
However, looks like your system is limited to OEM downloads, which means you must download the recommended Graphics driver from your device's manufacturer website.
Can you share what is your device's manufacturer?
Thanks
Karen

Based on the information provided, it appears that your device may not have the necessary hardware specifications to run the game at a higher frame rate. The Intel Core i5-8250U CPU and 8GB of RAM are sufficient for running the game, but may not be able to handle the game's graphics at higher settings. It's possible that the game is not optimized for your computer. You can try to update the game, your graphics drivers and also try to run the game on windowed mode. Another solution could be to lower the resolution of the game or try to play on low-end mode if the game has this feature.

Your system specifications seem capable enough for Old School RuneScape. Ensure your graphics drivers are up-to-date. Also, check for background applications consuming resources. If the issue persists, consider adjusting in-game settings or reaching out to the game's support for further assistance.
