We have an Intel Elkhart lake CRB and we would like to set up environment for evaluating the TCC performance.
Accroding to the following page, we have tried to configure the BIOS setting, but we were not able to find some items on BIOS menu.
https://eci.intel.com/docs/3.0.2/getstarted/apt_instructions.html
We understand that "The available configurations depend on the platform, BIOS in use, or both. Modify as many configurations as possible", but we worry about some missing item might affect the performance. We would appreciate it if you could give us comments on the following missing items:
(1) PCI Express Clock Gating
We were not able to find "PCI Express Clock Gating", but we found similar item "Intel Advanced Menu - PCH-IO Configuration - PCH Master Clock Gating Control". Should we disable it?
(2) Gfx Low Power Mode
We were not able to find this item. Can we ignore this item?
(3) Delay Enable DMI ASPM
We were not able to find this item. Can we ignore this item?
(4) USB Periodic SMI
We were not able to find this item. Can we ignore this item?
By the way, we currently use BIOS version "MR6" which we downloaded the following page. Is this the best version to evaluate TCC performance? If there is more suitable BIOS version, please let us know.
The image currently we use is "EHL_NR01_B0B0_XXXXMCC_CPSF_SEP0_D40B00_2023_WW08.3.0_SPI_ES0_TSN_EXT.bin".

Hi HiroyukiKosaka,
Thanks for reaching out, the recommended bios settings can be found in the Edge Controls for Industrial documentation. These should be matched as much as possible and as you mentioned they may not be available on all platforms. If your system does not have an option available, it should be okay to skip.
For assistance specific to Intel Time Coordinated Computing (TCC) please contact your Intel representative or submit an issue to Intel Premier Support as they may have more accurate information. Also, please review the notice posted in the documentation regarding Intel TCC.
