Can I use a FM10K as a load balancing switch?

  Hello,

The question is:

Can I use a FM10K as a load balancing switch? (traffic redistribution)

I want to re-distribute all packets from one port to multiple-ports according to MAC addresses (such as RSS). And also vice versa.

If it is possible, how to configure FM10K using TestPoint (or API)?

If there is a similar example, I appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, Thank you for reply. We have a plan to develop 100 GbE packet processing system. To meet the performance we need, packets should be re-distributed to multiple processing nodes. We consider FM10840 as a candidate and must evaluate its performance. I’d like to know any configuration method to re-distribute input packets from one port to multiple ports according to certain condition (such as MAC-based RSS). Can I set the configuration by “TestPoint” tool? We have a reference system (FM10K + Atom) and also a our own system (FM10K + Xeon). I’m new to network topology and terminology and got this job without well-described backup. I’m sorry for that and need help (any example or guide are welcome). Thanks in advance.
