Hope this is the correct forum to ask this question.
I have been testing I226-T1 NIC (with I226-LM controller) in both Windows 11 and Linux (Mint 22). If the cable is connected to a switch port that supports 10M link, WOL works with both setups. If the port does not support 10Mbps, WOL works only in Windows (link is up at 100M when in sleep mode).
How do I configure the sleep mode link speed to support 100M in Linux as well?
Where can I find the datasheet for I226-LM?

I have tried to post my questions to "Embedded Connectivity"..

Hi Ilpo,
Upon double checking on this issue, you may want to refer to link below for the required information regarding the datasheet of Intel® Ethernet Controller I226.
Please take note that this datasheet document may be restricted due to confidential data, and require you to have access for the Intel Premier DevZone. If you do not have the access, you can request the access referring to link below:
Hope this clarifies.

This datasheet is very sparse. I would need a document that describes the controller registers in detail. Maybe a programming manual or similar? I could not find this kind of document in Resource & Documentation Center.

My request for Premier Support was declined..
Meanwhile, not very happy with Intel, was looking for some clues in FreeBSD kernel sources and found this:
#define IGC_I225_PHPM_DIS_100_D3 0x0200 /* Disable 100M in D3 */
WOL problem is solved by clearing this bit in PHY power management register.

Hi,
I think the reason was that my email address is from corporation global IT but the company name is the subsidiary company I work for.
Apparently someone thought I was trying to register with my personal address which is not the case.

Hello Ilpo,
Thank you for your reply.
We are sorry to hear that your request for premier support was declined.
Since this request is directly handled by the premier support team, only they will be able to grant the access unfortunately.
In this case, we request you to contact your intel representative so that they can check this from their end.
Also, we see that you have mentioned your were looking for some clues in FreeBSD kernel sources and the WOL problem is solved by clearing this bit in PHY power management register.
Kindly let us know if you need any additional assistance regarding this so that we can check it.
