Hello DVais,

Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.

Before we proceed, can you confirm if you are the one who integrated the Intel® Ethernet Controller I210-IS to BCM53134P?

Please tell us when can we expect an update on this. If there is no reply, is it okay if make a follow up after 3 business days?

Best regards,

Hi Mike,

I am interfacing the i210 with the BCM part.

I am asking about your recommendation of what to do with the bad response of the i210 and make the connection operative.

We need your recommendation ASAP and then you can follow up after 3 business days.

Best regards,

Danny V

meanwhile we made some signal measurements, the broad part is issuing active signals while the i210 does not.

also tried to set different parameters with ethtool but it failed with error message. reading counters return all 0 but some other fixed parameters are read correctly.

Hello, @DVais:

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

Could you please clarify if this situation happens on your design or a third- party design?

In case that it is a third-party device, could you please inform the name of the manufacturer, its model, the part number, and where its documentation is stated?

On the other hand, could you please let us know how many units of the project related to this circumstance have been manufactured? How many are affected? Could you please give the failure rate? Also, could you please list the sources that you have used to design it and if it has been verified by Intel? Could you please let us the procedure that you have followed to determine this issue?

Could you please give pictures of the top side markings of the Ethernet controllers?

We are waiting for your reply to these questions.

Best regards,

@Mæcenas_INTEL.
