I have a question about temperature specifications for X550-AT2
This is a confirmation about the data sheet(doc#333369).
Recommended Operating Conditions is Ta Max 55°C.
Thermal Maximum Rating is Tcase Max 103°C.
If Ta is exceeded, but Tcase is below specification, is there no problem?
If so, what does Ta mean?

Hello @TNARUSE,
In my opinion, it may be best to work under the recommended conditions, but if there are high temperature changes that are present rarely, there should be okay.
Best regards,

Hello @TNARUSE ,
Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.
Ta refers for ambient temperature, high ambient temperatures may be present in some special cases and some devices are designed for those cases specifically, like some industrial devices.
Your Tcase must be below of Tcase_max for a correct design, but temperatures near the maximum limits may damage the silicon of the device.
Also, besides Tcase, Tjunction is important to verify too.
Best regards,
@Diego_INTEL

Thank you for the reply.
Am I correct in understanding that even if Ta is exceeded, as long as Tcase and Tj are controlled below the specification, there is no problem?
