Hello,

I'm trying to use EepromAccessTool 0.7.8 modified with the IDs of I350 to write into the spi eeprom attached to the I350.

but when i want to write into the eeprom (empty) i'm facing to the following errors =>

./EepromAccessTool -NIC=1 -f=myfile.save

Hello, @DABRA8:

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

Could you please clarify if this consultation is related to the Intel device stated in the following website?

Hello,

We are implementing the I350 on our own board coupled to arm CPU.

Our board is not yet ready.

So, to prototype the writing to an empty eeprom . i use a i350-T2-V2.

Let me know it is not the right approach.

Regards,

Didier

Hello, @DABRA8:

Thanks for your clarification.

Could you please list the sources that you have used to implement your design?

Could you please clarify if it has been reviewed by Intel?

Could you please provide pictures of the affected devices specifically of the topside markings?

We are waiting for your answers.

Best regards,

@Mæcenas_INTEL.

Hello,

Thanks for your help.

your question :

"Could you please list the sources that you have used to implement your design?"

do you speak about hardware design ?

your question :

"Could you please provide pictures of the affected devices specifically of the topside markings?"

Do you speak about the I350T2V2 i'm actually using to prototype ?

Best regards,

Didier

Hello, @DABRA8:

Thanks for your reply.

In order to answer your questions, the first one is related to hardware as you mentioned because you told that you are "implementing the I350 on our own board".

For your last question, I have made this question since your own board should use the Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I350 or are you using a Intel(R) Ethernet Server Adapter I350?

We are waiting for your answer.

Best regards,

@Mæcenas_INTEL.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

My colleagues from hardware team based their design from "Intel® Ethernet Controller I350: Datasheet" and "Intel® Ethernet Controller I350: Reference Design " documents.

Our own board will embed ARMv8 CPU + I350 on the same PBA. this board will be in our lab in few weeks.

Before the avaibility of our board, for prototyping purpose, i'm using a commercial ARMV8 cpu eval board on which i have plugged an I350T2V2 adapter.

the aim of the prototyping is to check if we can read/write I350's eeprom .

Hi Didier,

We'd like to use the same NIC device i350 to ARM CPU

Are you able to write/read the NIC's Eeprom and Does the NIC work on ARM CPU ?

Thks

Sebastien

Hello, @Sebastien78:

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

We want to address the following questions to have a better idea of your previous message:

Could you please let us know if your request is related to an add-in NIC card or an Intel Ethernet Controller design made by you?

Could you please list the sources that you have used to design your project using an Intel Ethernet Controller?

We are waiting for your answer to these questions.

Best regards,

@CarlosAM_INTEL.

Hello,

I come back to you regarding the validation of our implementation.

Can you give me the process to validate our schematics arround I350 ?
