Bay Trail Z37xx Max Resolution?

Hello and good day!

Is there a reference that states the maximum resolution for the GPU that comes with the Bay Trail Z37xx family? E.g. max res for LCD output (LVDS or DSI), max res for OpenGL rendering, max res for video decoding, etc.

I tried looking on Ark and the datasheet provided there but I couldn't find this info, pardon me.

The answer depends upon the OS (Android vs. Windows), and also by processor SKU (Entry or Main). If you are able to be more specific to those points, I believe I will be able to locate the information for you.

The particular CPU's I'm interested in are Z3735D and Z3740. The OS will be Fedora GNU/Linux, but I suppose if specific info for this OS is not available, Android info works fine too.

Hello Hugh,

A few points to consider. First, the Intel® Atom™ Processor Z3740 has been superseded by the Z3745. This part contains a newer stepping of the silicon. Second, we only support Windows* 8.1 and Android* KitKat on the parts you have specified. Therefore, I can provide you details for Android.

eDP 1.3 Max Single Resolution = 2560x1600x24 @ 60

HDMI 1.4a Max Single Resolution = 1080p @ 60

MIPI-DSI Max Single Resolution = 1920x1200x24 @ 60 (x4 lanes)

H.264 Decode = up to 4kx2kp30, 1080p120

VP8 Decode = 1080p30

JPEG Decode = 100 Mpps (4:2:0)

MPEG-4 Decode = 720p30 ASP, 480p30 SP

H.263 Decode = 480p30
