Intel Atom Processor C2000 Product Family B0 setp has a bug. AVR58(System May Experience Inability to Boot or May Cease Operation), which can be find in Document Number: 520653, Revision: 2.9. For C2758 B0 step, does the microcode and bios need to be updated(Upgrade from M01406D8128 to M01406D812A )? Is there any risk if it is not updated? How about C0 step? Thanks!

Hello, QWang2:
Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.
Reviewing the last row of the Table 2, on page 11 of the Intel Atom(R) Processor C2000 Product Family Specification Update - NDA document # 520653, the cited erratum has been solved in the C0 stepping.
We suggest you update the microcode to avoid any problem related to outdated versions, however checking the workaround for the cited issue is hardware related. You can confirm this information and details on page 37 of the cited Spec Update and in the Low Pin Count [LPC] Workaround for Intel Atom(R) Processor C2000 Product Family document # 570481.
These documents should be accessible when you are logged into your Resource and Design Center (RDC) privileged account in the following websites:
