DDR4 & LPDDR4x End of Life for Tiger Lake UP3 i7-1186GRE

What are the best options to use this SoC with LPDDR4x or DDR4 when it seems that DDR4 is at End of Life and going out of production?   Is there a preferred path for continued use of the Tiger Lake?   32GB total RAM; 16GB per channel is needed

Hello @Jeff4Precise,

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

You may consider the 7 years of lifetime for each product or the extended support if you may need it for more years, you can talk with an Intel Sales Representative regarding this topic for the availability of the processor in the following years.

With respect to LPDDR4x memory however, does Intel have a preferred source for the memory?   If the memory goes out of production, then Tiger Lake becomes hobbled.   Why would someone put it in a new design if the memory it uses is unavailable?   I thought Intel might have an agreement or partnership that could guarantee that memory remains available for the TL.

Thanks,

Jeff
