Dear Sir,

What's FC-LGA14?

What's different with FC-LGA14A & FC-LGA14C?

Hello @RSun.

Before answering your question, I would like to confirm if you refer to a specific processor model; if so, please let me know the exact model of the unit you are asking for.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Hi Jean,

Because i5-10500E in ARK ordering information have 2 different type with FC-LGA14A and FC-LGA14C, I want to know what's different with these  2 CPU socket type?

Link Below:

I have same problem. EG Xeon W-1250P says for LGA1200 socket. Ordering info says LGA14A. Google can’t find how these relate or not. Bx80701w1250p

Intel site search finds nothing for LGA14A.

Terribly confusing.

Hello, @RSun ,

The information I have received is that the difference between FC-LGA14A and FC-LG14C is directly related to the stepping of the processor.

As you can see on the following page: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/203893/intel-core-i510500e-processor-12m-cache-up-to-4-20-ghz.html

This site can explain the FCLGA acronym: https://sites.google.com/site/tvcccis111ch0283/home/assignment-2-motherboards/processor-sockets

Have searched the ark page and thousands of pages of datasheets and there is no reference to LGA14.

On the contrary, page 13 of the processor datasheet volume 1 specifically refers to LGA1200 as a package type and not just a socket type.

https://cdrdv2.intel.com/v1/dl/getContent/615211

"Package Support
The processor is available in the following packages:

• A 46 mm x 24 mm BGA package (BGA1528) for U-Processor Line

• A 28 mm x 42mm BGA package (BGA1440) for H-Processor Line

• A 37.5 mm x 37.5 mm LGA package (LGA1200) for S-Processor Line"

Hi Adolfo,

So FC-LGA14A and FC-LG14C just naming rule, they are not different with socket type, right?

I want make sure FC-LGA14 is not mean to FCLGA1200.

This thread from 2015 describes what the lga14a might be.

https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/xeon-e3-1275l-v3-fc-lga12c-indicates-what-change.2191491/

Amazing that there is no official mention anywhere google can find.

Hi Adolfo,

Seems no more information can explain FC-LGA14, it's no matter, thanks for your information.
