Hello I would like to learn how the cores on the latest CPU's (Skylake) in particular the Northbridge and memory controller sections on die implemented on die ? Do they use silicon gated transistors (AND/OR and etc logic gates) integrated circuits with no floating gate ?

Secondly how is the main or primary or default core powered on ?

Thanks
