No audio on SGIN laptop after installing Linux Minton an SGIN Laptop

Hello,

I am having trouble with audio on an SGIN laptop after installing Linux Mint. It seems to no tbe detecting the soundcard and Intel Corporation Broadwell-U Audio Controller (rev 09) is listed as the audio controller. Neither the internal speakers nor the headphone jack will produce sound. I am in discussion on the Linux Mint forums to discover a fix. What assistance can you rovide on what steps we can take to resolve the issue?
