hi
I am trying to find a cross compiler that supports this embedded processor, but the only choices found so far are for the x86 platform(s)
hope this is the right place to ask this question? What I use now is a text editor and makefile. no debug of any kind. Id like to find something that is an all inclusive IDE, and to have debugger features at least to some extent;

Hi, Bradley! Here is a link to some IXP information - http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/intelligent-systems/previous-generation/intel-ixp4xx-intel-network-processor-product-line.html IXP4XX Product Line of Network Processors. Scroll down the page to the 'additional resources' section and click on 'view more'. As this product in no longer available, is there another processor you would like to work with? Our complete embedded line is located here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/intelligent-systems/embedded-processors-which-intel-processor-fits-your-project.html Intel Embedded Processor Resources. On this page if you scroll down you will see a DESIGN ASSISTANCE option in the "Connect with Us" blade. It looks like this:
An Intel representative can guide you through the processor selection and help you with your design. Hope this helps!
