82574 is not recognized by PCIe bus ...

I have some problems regarding the WG82574 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet controller. I used it according to its sample schematics. However, it could not be recognized on PCIe bus. It should be added that the EEPROM connected to this IC have not programmed yet. However, I expected that the IC should be recognized without using the EEPROM. The schematic of this IC in my design is attached.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Now, I can connect to the IC, and the chip was recognized by PCIe correctly.

The problem was related to the AC coupling capacitors on PCIe receiver lines. So, my problem was solved.

I was forwarded to the forum by your colleague Carlos, so I'll ask the question here as it is related to Babak's question (my colleague).

We have now the IC up and running, detected by the kernel. But now we need to program the NVM attached to the IC.

This is the ID from linux:

pci 0000:01:00.0: [8086:10d3] type 00 class 0x020000

And this is the output from the driver:

e1000e 0000:01:00.0: The NVM Checksum Is Not Valid

Currently the NVM (AT25320) is empty.

How do I manage to program the NVM from the board?

Do we need to sign a NDA in order to get a tool?
