When I use the ./build.sh script in the uncompressed irdma-2.6.51 archive, several functions are implicitly defined and the script will not complete:
I disabled the warning as error for these lines, but the linker could not find the associated functions. Do you have any recommendations for getting past this problem?
Thank you,
Derek

Thank you for your response:
1- What system and network card model are you currently using?
I am using Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and an Intel E810-2CQDA2.
2- Does the network card come with the system or purchased network card saperately?
I purchased the network card separately.
3- Please elaborate more regarding the issue.
I have a new installation of Ubuntu 24.04. I downloaded and installed the ice-2.5.4 driver, and then tried to install the irdma-2.6.51 driver. There are several warnings, which the compiler treats as errors
- utils.c has "del_timer" and "del_timer_sync" declared implicitly
- verbs.c has a pointer mismatch when initializing a struct ib_mr on line 4514
- cm.c has an implicit declaration of "del_timer_sync"
These warnings prevent the build.sh from completing.
4- What troubleshooting has been done?
- I disabled the warnings at the lines where they occur and completed the compilation. However, the link step failed, because the functions were not found.
- I have reinstalled Ubuntu 24.04 cleanly and attempted the installation again.
5- Have any changes been made prior to the issue happening?
After installing Ubuntu, I have updated the Nvidia graphics driver and the application software. I have installed the build-essential pack as well as the packs listed in the irdma README.
