Hi, I am trying to benchmark 100Gbps networking with a pair of E810-C NICs.
While trying to generate 100Gbps traffic using pktgen dpdk and my own program, the maximum TX bandwidth is limited to 82.5 gbps when using 64B packets, and does not scale with the number of cores. The setup can sustain 100gbps traffic with 128B packets and larger.
Relevant System Information:
CPU : Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6414U
NIC: Intel Corporation Ethernet Controller E810-C for QSFP (rev 02)
DPDK Version 22.07.0
Kernel Version 5.15.0-86-generic
ice_load_pkg_type Active package is: 1.3.35.0
I have also tried compiling DPDK with
RTE_LIBRTE_ICE_16BYTE_RX_DESC=y
