Error in Configuring PFC in NVMe/RoCE using lldptool Method.

Hi,

We are configuring NVMe/RoCE with PFC.

But the moment we are configuring PFC on ethernet adapter using lldptool method, the switch ports attached with the servers are randomly changing their operational state from up to down and down to up.

Can you explain why lldptool is causing such problem?

Additionally, can you suggest any method other than lldptool to configure PFC on NIC side.

 

 

FYI,

We are using a PCIe card.
Intel Server Board S2600BP and Intel Server Board S2600WF.
Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810-XXVDA2/E810-CQDA2.
We have configured RDMA using the document 608515-NVM Express over Fabrics for Intel®
Ethernet Products with RDMA.

We are configuring PFC using the document 635330-Intel® Ethernet 800 Series Linux Flow Control Configuration Guide for RDMA Use Cases

RoCE and PFC is configured on switch side using DCB method.

2. Firmware version of your Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810-XXVDA2/E810-CQDA2.

3. Driver version of your Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810-XXVDA2/E810-CQDA2.

4. Will you be able to confirm if the adapter has YottaMark* or BradyID* Stickers for us to check if you are using an Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM) or retail version of Intel Ethernet Adapter. YottaMark* or BradyID* Stickers as these are authentication labels for Intel® Ethernet Adapters. Refer to link below for YottaMark* and BradyID* Stickers on Intel® Ethernet Adapters

1. We are using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.6 (Ootpa), Kernel Version Linux 4.18.0-372.9.1.el8.x86_64

2. The firmware version of Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810-XXVDA2 is 2.10 0x80004341 1.2789.0

3. The Driver version of Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810-XXVDA2 is ice 1.9.11

4.  We are able to share only the following images of the Ethernet Network Adapter.
