Expanding PCIe to connected i210 controller using PCIe switch

I am trying to discover caveats in connecting two i210s to a port-expanded Atom using a Pericom/Diodes x2 to dual x1 switch. (PI7C9X2G304ELQZXAE)

Pericom seems to suggest that DMAs are not supported with most of the switches (certainly all of their low port count switches).

There is also a specified 150nS latency through the PCIe switch.

Is this PCIe switching possible with network NICs like the i210?
