Hi All,
We use the Intel® Ethernet Controller I350 chip to develop our own network cards, and reserved SDP3 to control the power on/off of the fiber module in some projects.
We would like to know that SDP3 can be controlled or not, if the SDP3 can not control, we want to remove the circuit in the future development.
We had studied the "ethernet-controller-i350-datasheet", README, igb_ethtool.c and igb_main.c in driver source.
Our idea is trying to use commands or extra tools to control the SFP power or to change the maximum transfer unit, to achieve the same situations of function igb_down() and igb_change_mtu() in the igb source.
Are there any commands or tools that can help us implement the tests?
Any suggestions are appreciated, thank you.
Test environment:
Ubuntu 22.04.4 (kernel 5.15)
Driver version:
igb-5.15.7
Command: lspci

Hello, @Sazirah:
Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.
We need to clarify that this forum is not related to an Intel Embedded Platform.
Due to this, the customer request is out of our scope of support.
Please consider this information when you provide the previous suggestion, or transfer any forums to the channel that you mentioned in your previous communication.
Best regards,
@CarlosAM_INTEL.
