Greetings

Up  untill now i have been working with the killer E2500 GiGabit controller with the configuratoin below :

- Receive buffer = 1024 Mo

- transmit buffer = 256 Mo

When i switch to the the killer E2600 GiGabit controller, i couldn't increase the size of the receive buffer nor the transmit one

The version of the pilote i m using is :

- 1168.8.515.2022

I m really in need of the 1024 Mo as a size of receive buffer

Thanks for your help

Hi Zsabhi

For the Killer e2600 gigabit ethernet controller, you can try to adjust the setting under speed and duplex. You can refer to the link below for the setting and some info regarding the e2600 ethernet controller.

Hi ZSabhi,

It seem that the buffer still cap at 512mb. When you change to e2600 have you try to activate the jumbo frame package?

You can refer to below link and see if it help.

Hi Zsabhi,

After discussing with the Engineer and my senior there mention this detail to me.

"There is no option for 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex with our Ethernet drivers. Auto Negotiation will give you a 1.0 Gbps link speed, provided your other networking equipment auto-negotiates correctly. Also, check the connection of the Ethernet cable into every piece of networking equipment, as well as your computer. Make sure each cable is labeled Cat 6 or Cat 7."

Make sure that your other equipment is supported and the network card can auto negotiate to bring the speed to 1028mb or 1Gb.

Greetin shaq

sorry for the delay,

I am a bit lost concenring the reply of your colleague, since with the killer E2500 GiGabit controller, i Did have the 1GB  frame buffer in reception while the the killer E2600 doesn't include this option.

The hardware set up concerning the cables is up to day ( using cat 7 cables ), so the only thing to see is the computer configuration, if so what should i look for

Thanks

Hi Sabhi,

As for your issue, This is what the engineering team response, it was due to the manufacturer base different. The E2500 card is a Qualcomm based card while the E2600 is Realtek based. The difference in frame buffer size is due to manufacturer preference. That why the e2600 have different buffer size.
