Dear Intel Technical Support Team,

I am contacting you regarding the Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter I350-T4V2.
We are planning to use this adapter on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC systems, and would like to confirm its compatibility with link-aggregation (NIC teaming) features.

Questions:

  1. Does the Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter I350-T4V2 support link aggregation / NIC teaming (IEEE 802.3ad LACP) on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC?

  2. If not, is there any plan to add this functionality in future Intel PROSet or Windows 11 network stack updates?

  3. Are there alternative Intel-recommended methods to achieve redundancy or bandwidth aggregation (such as Switch-Independent Teaming or Load Balancing) on this OS?

  4. Is the teaming function through Intel PROSet for Windows Device Manager still available on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC, or has it been deprecated?

  5. Could you clarify whether teaming remains supported on older platforms such as Windows 10 or Windows Server 2019, and what are the key differences compared to Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC?

Additional Information

Our system will run Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC (64-bit) and will use multiple I350-T4V2 adapters connected to a managed switch supporting IEEE 802.3ad LACP.
We aim to configure stable link aggregation for both bandwidth increase and redundancy.
If any driver, firmware, or hardware details are required, we can provide them.

We would greatly appreciate your clarification on whether link aggregation or teaming is officially supported and recommended for this adapter under Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Hello Norimoto,

Greetings from Intel!

Thank you for reaching out regarding link aggregation and teaming support for the Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter I350-T4V2 on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC.

Please note that link aggregation / NIC teaming is not supported on this operating system. For more details, kindly refer to the following Intel support article:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005667/ethernet-products.html?wapkw=Intel%C2%AE%20PROSet%20Adapter%20Configuration%20Utility

Below are responses to your specific questions:

1) Does the Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter I350-T4V2 support link aggregation / NIC teaming (IEEE 802.3ad LACP) on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC?

Answer: No, this functionality is not supported on this OS.

2) Is there any plan to add this functionality in future Intel PROSet or Windows 11 network stack updates?

Answer: Teaming support was discontinued starting with Windows 10 Version 1809. As of now, Intel has not announced any plans to reintroduce this feature in future releases.

3) Are there alternative Intel-recommended methods to achieve redundancy or bandwidth aggregation (such as Switch-Independent Teaming or Load Balancing) on this OS?

Answer: While third-party solutions may exist, Intel has not validated these on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise and therefore cannot officially recommend them.

4) Is the teaming function through Intel PROSet for Windows Device Manager still available on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC, or has it been deprecated?

Answer: No, this feature is no longer available. You may wish to consult Microsoft for any alternative teaming options supported in windows 11 PowerShell.

5) Is teaming still supported on older platforms such as Windows 10 or Windows Server 2019, and what are the key differences compared to Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC?

Answer: Teaming was supported on Windows 10 versions prior to 1809. Windows Server editions (e.g., Server 2019) continue to support NIC teaming natively, unlike Windows 11 IoT Enterprise.
