Hello,
yesterday optical fiber was installed at my apartment and through Wi-Fi I am able to reach the full 500mbps on my phone and laptop. The issue is that on my PC I can't reach more than 100mbps through ethernet.
I have an Asus ROG Strix B-350-f (Intel I211 Gigabit LAN controller). The cable is Cat5e, the ethernet is plugged into a 2.5g port. The operating system is windows 10.
Steps I took:
- reconnected the LAN cable from the PC to my laptop -> full 500mbps speed (windows 11 laptop)
- fiddled with speed & duplex (tried auto-negotiation, tried full duplex) -> no change
- resetted the network drivers installed the newest one (3 times, I have also tried older drivers)
- disabled energy-efficient ethernet and moderation
- flushed DNS
- plugged into different ports

Hi Coruen,
Good day and thank you for contacting Intel Community Support.
Please kindly help to provide the SSU logs for us to analyze further on this issue. Refer to the link below on how to gather the logs:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057926/memory-and-storage.html
Additionally, what is the speed you are mostly seeing on your PC when connected to the LAN? Also, may I know if you are using the drivers provided by the OEM or from Intel generic drivers?
Thank you,
Faez_Intel

The usual speed is 100mbps. Drivers: I've downloaded and installed the newest Intel one specific for my MB. I've also installed PROset utility.
Thank you and have a nice day,
David

HI David,
Good day. Apologies for the delayed response.
Thank you for the logs provided. Based on the logs we can see that the current driver version is at 12.18.16.0.
Based on the OEM website for the motherboard model, the latest driver available for this motherboard is driver version 12.15.184.1
For this matter, I highly advise for your end to use the driver provided by the OEM itself. This is due to the drivers from the OEM is customized to run accordingly on your motherboard.
Please kindly use the latest driver for your motherboard model as per the link below.
