Intel PWLA8391GT Desktop Adapter Drivers Not Working

I recently purchased the product listed in the topic title. I cannot get the drivers for my Windows 7 x64 to work.

I get this message: "cannot install drivers no intel r adapters are present in this computer"

The device is clearly connected since I can get online with it, but I cannot get the latest hardware updates which is very frustrating.

Any advice on how to solve this issue?

Specs:

Windows 7 x64 (fully updated)

4gb RAM

Intel E8400 Processor

nVidia GeForce 9600GT

Thank you for purchasing Intel Ethernet. Sorry to hear about your frustration. Luckily though, the driver that was installed when you installed with Microsoft Windows 7 is the latest driver for that networking card. I agree that message is not very useful, and I have sent a note to the folks handing our installation package.
