Hello,
we are connecting the X557-AT4 with discrete magnetics (integrated are not possible due to using different connector than RJ-45), and the datashet is not very clear on how to connect the magnetics and termination properly for the 5th channel (see X557's datasheet at 9.1.3). No reference schematic has this implemented either, or better said, integrated magnetics (such as G13-152T used in the reference) do not reveal the circuit connection.
I did my best to make sense of the manual, and I came up with this circuit. Can you check if this schematic is done properly, the termination of channel D will work as intended and 5th channel will sense correct common-mode?
Thanks!

Hello Jerome,
I have tried to apply for the IPS premier support multiple times, but each time I get a nice and informative e-mail signed by Altera, that I will be better served by this forum
Honestly, I have been trying to get to right documentation for over a month, and I am still going in circles by the Intel support, from the forum, to support chat, to IPS and back... It is becoming extremely frustrating to design a commercial product with an intel part, I would expect better... We are not doing a one-man hobby project, but are trying to get a serious industrial and commercial product with right backing, up and running, but we are not even able to get to the right support channels, with no feedback whatsoever.

Hello MarsoM,
Thank you for your response. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you had to face thus far. We can understand how frustrating this can be. We understand that you have been routed again and again and it has been more than a month. We do want to assist you but our team can only assist with technical issues and warranty requests for Intel products. As your query is different and related to the design/schematics, hence we request you to post your query on this forum - Embedded connectivity (https://community.intel.com/t5/Embedded-Connectivity/bd-p/embedded-networking-connectivity)
Regards,
