Hey,
The issue seem to be known since quite a while for a LOT of people and I am encountering so many random disconnects that it's being a real pain in the a** now.
I tried everything I could from trying different driver versions, cleaning windows reg key, disabling power saving mode, lowering the duplex speed and some other links from intel website. None worked.
Here is what my windows event viewer looks like, non-stop disconnects for 30 minutes:
Here is what I get when I use the diagnostic tool from Intel(R) PROSet Adapter Configuration Utility software:
Connection tests:
Hardware tests:
In the attached file, you can also find the scan result I get with Intel's System Support Utility.
Can somebody point to a true solution? Otherwise Intel should refund my motherboard honestly...

Hello,
I tried installing the first and third link you sent me but it is telling me I already have the latest version.
As for the second link I installed it and will see if I still have the same issues and come back here after some time to tell you if it is resolved or not.

Hello whatishappening,
Good day!
As you have informed that the issue still persists even after updating to the latest driver version, we suggest you to contact MSI, OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer) since the Intel® Ethernet Controller I225-V is embedded with the mainboard msi z-690-wifi DDR5.
Their expertise and resources may be instrumental in resolving the issue and ensuring the proper functioning of the Ethernet Controller I225-V on msi z-690-wifi DDR5.
We would like to inform you that we are closing this request. Please don't hesitate to ask any further questions in the future. Feel free to start a new conversation, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Thank you for understanding.
Regards,
Sreelakshmi

I appreciate you bringing up this question. From my observation, it appears that the Intel support organization is completely unaware of this issue and merely conducts troubleshooting without a clear understanding of how to resolve it.
This isn't just a software bug; it extends beyond software and is a flaw within the network chipset itself. You can find further discussion on this topic in the link provided: [Intel I225-V Drops Connections](https://community.intel.com/t5/Ethernet-Products/Intel-I225-V-Drops-Connections/m-p/1474748).
While Intel may have an official knowledge base article addressing this issue and discussing firmware updates for the chipset/network chip, my concern lies with the fact that I own an Intel NUC, which has now been transferred to Asus. I'm uncertain about the level of assistance and support I'll receive from them regarding this matter.

I recently encountered the exact issue you described. I suggest trying the solution outlined in this thread:
Link to Thread: Intel I225-V Drops Connections
After implementing the recommended changes to the Power options and adjusting the specified values, I noticed a cessation in connection drops. However, it's still too early to confirm whether the issue is resolved. Also recommend you download the Intel drivers from Intel rather motherboard manufacturer.
In Windows, it's crucial to disable Power Saving mode for PCI devices. You can access this setting by navigating to "Power Options" and then "Advanced Settings." Within these settings, locate "PCI Express" and then "Link State Power Management," ensuring that the setting is set to "Off." This adjustment is essential for optimal performance and stability.
2) You should try to disable or change the values for mentioned property with the following steps:
a. Open Device Manager.
b. Double-click Network adapter: Intel Ethernet Connection I225-V
c. Click on the "Advanced" tab, change values for following property-
- Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) to "Off"
- Ultra Low Power Mode to "Disabled"
- Large Send Offload V2 (IPv4) to "Disabled"
- Large Send Offload V2 (IPv6) to "Disabled"
- TCP Checksum Offload (IPv4) to "Tx Enabled"
- TCP Checksum Offload (IPv6) to "Tx Enabled"
I'm using an Intel NUC NUC12I7WSHI with the i225 NIC for context.
I hope this workaround proves helpful in addressing your connectivity issues.
Thank you.
