Killer E5000B 5 Gigabit locked at 100MB

Hi,

I've seen this issue with other Killer NICs and have been through all the following steps:

- updated drivers through DSA and all up to date

- can't find Killer Control Centre but get pushed to Killer Performance Suite, it does not solve my problem

- done network resets

- tweak properties of cards

- swapped out cables, routers etc

- checked BIOS

- Intels onile help doesn't provide drop down for this card

I'm now exhausted/angry and can't seem to fix this.

Help!

Hello Jonty_NZ,

Thank you for sharing the log file. Please proceed with the following steps below:

1) Update the BIOS firmware to the latest version (7E34v2A70). It's best to reach out your motherboard manufacturer's support team with this critical update.

2) Please also try installing the OEM driver for the LAN driver, version 36.24.12134

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.

Same problem, seems it's a common issue among other things. I have updated my driver's, cat 6 proven cable, tried switching from auto negotiation to 1gbps, nothing.

Hello Jonty_NZ.,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

I apologize for the difficulties you're facing with your Killer NIC. To help address the issue, please share your system configuration by downloading the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. Once downloaded, launch SSU.exe.

  • Scan: Check the box Everything.
  • Click Scan.
  • Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
  • Click Save. *Attach the SSU log file as you reply.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Best regards,

This is the ethernet port on my MSI Gaming Wifi Plus mobo. I have updated the BIOS and ethernet drivers and the internet connection still randomly drops. I have made all the changes to keep the connection active to no avail. I'm also wondering if I can avoid the Killer ethernet drivers and install generic ethernet driver instead.
