Link speed stuck on 100 mbps windows 11 Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V

Hi,

 

I have an issue with my Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V. Since I bought the Motherboard. Link speed is LIMITED at 100 Mbps. I have used a work arround for months now (ethernet to USB dongle). Yesterday, I updated my BIOS and after the update, my network connection was working fine at 1 Gbps. However after a restart today it's stuck at 100 Mbps again.

 

This has been an ongoing issue for me and it happens regardless of the BIOS version as I updated 3 times already. I tried a lot of different version of drivers etc..

 

What I’ve tried so far:

Used different Ethernet cables (Cat5e and Cat6) (didnt fix it)

Reinstalled the driver (both via Windows and the latest Intel driver) (didnt fix it)

Disabled Energy saving settings in bios and windows (didnt fix it)

Manually set the adapter speed to 1 Gbps and auto negotiate (didnt fix it)

Troubleshoot with ISP (after a good hour they couldnt help)

Reset Windows network settings (didnt fix it)

Reinstall windows. (YES I DID but it didnt fix it)

Different hardware ie: laptop other desktops (they work fine)

 

Additional Info:

Motherboard: MSI MAG Z790

OS: Windows 11 Other devices:

 

My Ethernet dongle (Gigabit Family Controller) gets 1 Gbps instantly and other PCs/laptops also connect at 1 Gbps without issues.

 

Does anyone have a solution for this? Saw so many posts, they dont seem to fix my issue and always address switch, router or cable is at fault. But NO I dont think so in this case.
