I have a NUV517RYH, running ESXi 5.5.
Has been working fine for 8 months.
Today, when I powered it on, I can no longer ping it from local switch.
I have done all the basic things e.g.
- verified cable, connected laptop to port, so cable and port are good
- turned on debugs on the switch to watch for ICMP packets
- from the ESX console, ping the switch fails, no ICMP packets seen
BIOS is RYBDWI35.86A.0246.2015.0309.1355 as seen on screen upon accessing via F2.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Jas

Hi Jason-m,
Thank you for the post. I understand there is issue on the ethernet port and you have done some basic tests, would you also provide me the driver version, I would like to check if you have upgraded to the latest driver.
Since this is a NUC concern, I can assist you by fowarding to the NUC support for them to better assist you.
Thanks,
wb

Hi jason-m,
Let's try to narrow down the issue. You are using an older BIOS version, the latest version of the BIOS for the Intel® NUC Kit 517RYH is 0354.
Verify is NUC contains the latest Chipset and Management Engine drivers

Mike,
The link in your thread sends me to a PAGE NOT FOUND.
Is there an actual link to the BIOS version 0354 you mentioned ?
Right now, the Ethernet port is back working ?
All I did was to boot into BIOS and just try to capture some information, then simply rebooted and pinging ok.
I would like to have the BIOS ready in case this happens again.
Just concerned that even upgrading BIOS is going to cause me a problem.
Thank you
Jas

Hi jason-m,
It is possible to download all the drivers, BIOS files and device manuals at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ https://downloadcenter.intel.com/
Just type the NUC model on the search box: 5i7RYH then, sort by BIOS in the first column.
I verified the link and it is working now.

Let me know how it works.
