Hello everyone,
Before I start here are the specs of my system: i5 2400, GT 1030, 500gb SSD, 8gb RAM
Network adapter is the Intel 82579lM Gigabit connection. My current driver date and version is
Date: 12/06/18
Version: 12.17.10.8
I have been having bad ping in games and DPC latency spikes with this driver so I want to update it.
I typed it into google and up comes a download link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22283/Intel-Ethernet-Adapter-Complete-Driver-Pack?product=47620
I saw the release date was 6/15/2020 so I knew it was the latest version. Just to check I was compatible I went down to the list of valid products and right at the top was my adapter Intel® 82579LM Gigabit Ethernet PHY. I then start the download.
Once it finished I ran the autorun.exe, gave it admin rights and let it install. About 10 seconds into installing I get an error saying:

I don't think the image is showing but it comes up with an error saying: Cannot install driver. No Intel adapters are present in this computer.
Thanks,
Jacob.
