Hello Everyone;
My environment:
1 X Dell PowerEdge R515 as "Storage Server" (suse linux enterprise server 11)
2 X Dell PowerEdge R410 as "Application Server" (XenServer 6.0.2)
The PowerEdge R515 as "Storage Server" connected to both of my application servers (R410) via Ethernet iSCSI
I'm looking to upgrade my 1GB network to 10GB, and I'm looking to use the Dual Port 10 Gigabit Intel X520 DA2 Ethernet Server Adapter
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ethernet-controllers/ethernet-x520-server-adapters-brief.html Intel® Ethernet X520 Server Adapters Product Brief
Since I have a small network, Can I install this card Intel X520 DA2 on each of my servers and connect each other directly without switch? or I must buy a 10GB switch to achieve this setup?.
My Storage box (R515) 10Gbps port -------- Ethernet iSCSI ------> 10Gbps port on application server (R410)
My Storage box (R515) 10Gbps port -------- Ethernet iSCSI ------> 10Gbps port on application server (R410)
Can someone advice?
Thank you;
Adam

Yes, you can connect the adapters in a back-to-back configuration.
