WGI210AT S LJXR Flash Storage Erase Failure

For our project, we are using the Intel WGI210AT Ethernet Controller along with a Winbond W25Q80DLUXIE flash device for storage. Our goal is to make a robust SBC that will operate through rugged conditions, so we are analyzing how we should expect our system to perform after certain failures we've caught during testing.

My question is, should we expect the WGI210AT to need to erase anything on the W25Q80DLUXIE/Flash storage device during operation? Will the WGI210AT fail operation if it is unable to erase the flash device? We want to make sure we will not see any ethernet failures in the event that the erase function fails.

Thanks!
Connor

  1. Are you designing a system with embedded Intel network card?
  2. Can you tell us more about your design and why do you need this information?
  3. What is the brand and model of your board/system?
