I just bought Intel 82574L gigabit network card and thought it has PTP hardware clock due to it supports IEEE1588. However, when I do "ethtool -T p1p1", it says PTP hardware clock is NULL. When I use "phc2sys -s p1p1", it says "Interface p1p1 does not have a PHC". Is it a driver problem, kernel problem or I should get another network card? If I need to get another Network card, which one should I get in order to have PHC?
My kernel is RHEL 3.10
My NIC driver is e1000e 3.0.4-NAPI
