ethernet module dropping ethernet, off more than running

I have had computers for over 3 decades and have never had problems like this! I have the Intel ethernet module I226-V and it is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever had ! The damned thing drops the line and is offline more than the thing is online. I paid big money to have a great computer and the ethernet module is crap! I know it is NOT the ethernet, it is well over 1 Meg. active flow and does not go down unless there is service work. My drivers are up to date but I am very, very disappointed in the ethernet module.
