Does anyone know if there is a Arria10 DSP primitive that can be instantiated as opposed to configuring the DSP through IP Parameter Editor? Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob,

Based on my understanding, the DSP IP instantiation will need to go through the IP Parameter Editor. For some multiply-accumulate or multiply-add functions, Quartus will attempt to auto replace them with DSP IPs. Sorry as I am not aware of other method to instantiate the DSP primitive.

Thanks. That is kind of what I expected but I wanted to reach out anyway to make sure. It can be convenient at times to instantiate rather than use the parameter editor so this is something that Intel may want to consider supporting in the future.
