I'm trying to simulate a design that incorporates various Intel IP selected from the IP Catalog in the Quartus Platform Designer. The HDL for the design was successfully generated in Platform Designer.
In QuestaSim (Questa Intel Starter FPGA Edition Rev 22.1 which came with IntelFPGA_pro), the libraries associated with the Intel IP are listed as "empty" (see below). The standard precompiled libraries (altera_mf, lpm, etc.) are all present, but I cannot find the libraries for the Intel IP. This results in "Library not found" (vcom-1598) errors in the QuestaSim compiler.
Did I miss a step after HDL Generation in Quartus?
Where might I find the QuestaSim libraries for Intel IP?

Thank you Sheng....
The video and documentation link are most appreciated.
Are you aware of any tutorials that incorporate this script generation process?

Hi Sheng...
The Quartus simulation setup script generation seemed to go well, however still having issues with Intel IP during Questa compilation. Currently stuck on the Bus Functional Model IP for AXI4lite.
Getting this error:
This library being called in the Quartus-generated HDL doesn't exist.
This error occurred during the com step in the .do file that was created as shown in the video.
Do you know why this library isn't being generated by Quartus?

Hi,
Check this document link https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/programmable/support-resources/bulk-container/pdfs/literature/ug/mentor-vip-axi4lite-ae-usr.pdf (page 374):
To run a Questa simulation, follow the process detailed in “ModelSim Simulation” on page 370.
page 370:
Ensure that the environment variable MvcHome points to the location of the installed BFM.

Hi Sheng.
Still not resolved.
The document links you provided contain an example design that has been very helpful, thank you. However I cannot complete the example design without a license for the bus functional models, and the Intel FPGA Self Service License Center has been down for migration to Azure Portal.

Hi,
Regarding the license issue, probably need to open a new thread in Intel® FPGA Software Installation & Licensing forum https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-FPGA-Software-Installation/bd-p/fpga-software-installation-licensing to get related support.
Thanks,
Best Regards,
Sheng

Hi Sheng,
Thanks. I opened a case re: the licensing issue with Intel customer support last week.
