After one builds a design in SOPC builder which includes a Nios II as part for the project. Quartus generates a programming file for the design(SOF) to configure the FPGA via JTAG. The format that Quartus II uses in this case is SRAM Object File(SOF), which is used to configure the FPGA.
rbf is the file that one uses to configure the FPGA via PCI(not employing an Altera DEV board here). Is it possible for Quartus II to generate a rbf(Raw Binary Format) for the project? or a way to convert the SOF to rbf for the SOPC builder project?Link Copied
