SATA Signature FIS not received

Hi All, 

 

I am working on SATA Host Controllers on Stratix IV FPGA Device. 

 

I am stuck at a point where the Link is initialized and Host waits for Signature FIS from the Device. I have been trying all different possible ways to fix the issue but have not been able to get through. 

 

Once the OOB Signalling there is no reception of Signature FIS or SOFp. On the contrary the device always sends X_RDY prim to the Host indicating it needs to send some data. The Host in response acknowledges with R_RDY Prim. but there is no further response from the device. 

 

Please help me to figure out what could be the possible reason for such a behavior.
