UART with DSP BUILDER

Hi everyone, 

my question is: it's possibile realize a uart controller in DSP builder??, the main scope of controller is recive data from the algoritm realized in DSP builder and send it to PC. 

Else if this is not possible i must use NIOS software???? and make somthing like a microcontroller for serial communication???

i have maked a simple rs232 block for transmit the data from FPGA to computer.
