Hi, I've got a board here , Altera Cyclone II development board http://www.altera.com/products/devki...yc2-2c20n.html...
I'm trying to communicate over SPI with the onboard WM8731 chip. The schematic on the data sheet shows that one of the wires (MODE) of the SPI interface is wired to ground. Therefore, we are supposed to use a two-wire SPI protocol, however all that SOPC has is a three-wire SPI. Does anyone know if there is a way to either a.) reconfigure the SPI that we have or b.) download a new SOPC module. I did some searching and it appears as though two-wire SPI might be I2C although i'm not too sure about this. If anyone could point me in the right direction that'd be much appreciated.Link Copied

In the board schematics, the signal names i2c_sdat and i2c_sclk are written very clearly to the codec control lines. Thus I think, there's no doubt left regarding the interface type.
