hi,

i am searching for a 10G-EPON MAC solution.

searching the IP Catalog i have found some kind of Eth MACs but none supporting 10GBASE-PR or 10GBASE-PRX (ieee 802.3av).

supposing there are none, any ideas for reusing

Hi,

If this is targeting FPGA, you may refer to table 3 in the following link for the PHY that compliance with the Low Latency 10G MAC. And yes, the base PR is not listed there.

Assuming you are targetting Arria 10, by referring to the Arria 10 transceiver PHY IP user guide (section 2.6), there is no base PR either.

Please provide more info if further help is needed.

thanks a lot,

does one of the Eth IP Cores (i am interested in Rx ONLY) can be used in case i will implement myself the PMA and PCS (all the way to XGMII)?

is there an IP Eth Core that can get as an input the XGMII (10Gbps) and output the Ethernet Packets on Avalon Streaming?

What device you are targeting?

For Arria 10 or Stratix 10, you can refer to the Low Latency 10G Ethernet IP.

For Stratix V, you can refer to this 10G MAC IP user guide: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/ug/10gbps_mac.pdf

thanks.

checking the "Low Latency 10G MAC" link you sent me i see it also supports StratixV.

is there any reason why i shoud use the 10GbE MAC instead?

The Low Latency 10G MAC is supported as an extended IP for Stratix V. You will not able to find it from the IP catalog by default. You will need to purchase the license first and then download it from the Self Service License Center.
