Hi,
I want to buy the Cyclone V SoC Development Kit with SOC EDS,
but I don't know whether it contains all the development environment for free(basically ARM DS license).
What's the difference between ARM DS and ARM DS-5?
Does this support the HPS RTOS?
Also does this kit support the Terasic optical fiber cable module?
Thank you.

Hi Alex
Arm-DS and Arm-DS 5 is the same thing Arm-DS 5 is the version of the tool.
The Cyclone V SOC Development Kit does not contain the Arm-DS licensing.

Hi,
I applied ARM DS for 30 day free license but when I want to debug I got the following error:
I used the SOC EDS to lanch the armds_ide,
I set the debug config as followed:
intel->cyclone V soc->dual core->cpu_0
I chose USB-Blast and auto HZ, USB 1 was found.
The tortural Hardware Library (HWLibs) | Documentation | RocketBoards.org
used the Dstream but my Dstream selection didn't found any device.
How can I fix that?

Hi Alex
Could you try adding your license file path into windows environmental variable?
ARMLMD_LICENSE_FILE
USB Blaster is fine too, you do not need to change it to Dstream.

Hi,
I set the ARMLMD_LICENSE_FILE as you suggested,
It didn't work for me.
It searched the AppData/Roaming/Arm/ARM DS 2022.2/license.dat
But there was no such file.
I don't know what to do to fix it.

Hi Alex
Could you try adding the path to the license in the license manager once again.
Help >> License Manager
It is weird, the license is working fine on my end.
