--- Quote Start --- thanks Onkelzfan. --- Quote End --- Hi, Am very new to this kit, Can we connect this development kit with F28335 kit using SPI or any interface and transfer data. Asuming that F28335 as slave.

Yes. Either slave or master.

Hi Socrates,
My project requires, the data from Sensors need to be send to µcontroller(F28335), through FPGA module ( DE2-115). In that case, i taught F28335 will be slave. If you can suggest me some examples, on this sort of communication (SPI), it will be very helpfull to me. Thanks.- Mark as New

Dear Socrates,
I coudn't find any thing related to SPI interface. In user manual provided the I/O Interfaces provided are Video Out (VGA 8-bit DAC) Video In (NTSC/PAL/Multi-format) RS232 Infrared input port PS/2 mouse or keyboard port Two 10/100/1000 Ethernet USB 2.0 (type A and type B) Expansion headers (one 40-pin header) HSMC high-speed header and even in Pin assignments are not avialble for SPI, Please let me know, how can we do this interfacing with a µcontroller F28335. Thanks, raja.- Mark as New

FPGA has no dedicated SPI core like any microcontroller does. You just implement it in hardware and assign almost any pins You want. So You just take HSMC 40pin expansion header and connect both boards together.

Hi Socrates,
Thanks for reply. i read the HSMC manual and i saw SPI Pinout. We can see the pin layout, but wht i didnt get is difference between SPI_TDATp6 ( pin 83) and SPI_TDATn6 (pin 85). If you have any idea please let me know. thnks.- Mark as New

--- Quote Start --- Read about LVDS. --- Quote End --- When i was looking for LVDS, i saw that SPI4.2 is System Packet Interface (not Serial Peripheral Interface Bus) used in Optical network --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/system_packet_interface. Actually am looking for Serial Peripheral interface between DE2-115 and µC F28335. thnks.

Read about LVDS signaling standard, not the SPI4.2.

What am i trying to say is, When i first asked for SPI interface , i got answer we can do it through HSMC connector. In HSMC specification, its SPI4.2 ( system Packet Interfaced used for Optical network) not Peripheral interface. hope u got my point. thnks

Sorry, I give up... You're too dummy to understand even basics of wiring signals. FPGA is not for You yet.

Sorry for disturbing you again Sir,
I have one last question, Can we use serialiser or de-serialser to connect to HSMC connecter and then connect to µcontroller. If my point is foolish am very sorry, as this is the first time am working with FPGA, Please excusme me. thnks.- Mark as New

There's no point of using any additional serializer/deserializer hardware, since it is easily implementable in FPGA. You can assign almost any FPGA pin to a certain signal. FPGA is not a microcontroller. Microcontroller have hardware dedicated SPI pins. FPGA has no such pins, so You can use (almost) any pin You like for SPI signals. You will later assign a signal to pin when doing FPGA design in Pin Planner.

Hi....
My tpad run well in application selector mode, but when i try to run the camera demonstration in jtag mode, it do not show any result on the screen. Is there any adjustment I need to do when i use HSMC in jtag mode?- Mark as New
