Hi,
I am using audio video dev kit stratix iv edition. Last week I want to program it with pci express high performance reference design. Problems as shown belows arised. 1. PC cann't intall the driver of the pcie card automaticly. 2. The rar file downloaded from altera website lack a file named wdapi1021.dll, which I only got a version of 10.2, not 8.x. 3. When problem is solved by manual operation or WINDRIVER, the GUI shows that the card cann't be found... 4. I can do write and read operation to pcie card through a software which is designed for PCI. So, in my opinion, hardware is ok and the software......... I need ur help....plz..Link Copied

I did not try it fully, since, I found it to be a bit complicated.
But, I found that this error in my case was due to trying to run the ref design under Win 7. I believe it is possible to try it only under Win Xp 32 bit. Give that a try maybe using VMWare. I have moved on to another ref design which is much simpler, form Xillybus. Try to google Xillybus and you should be there. It gives a basic fee of the PCIe communications. Stream read/ write. Writing/ reading to/from FPGA SDRAM etc.- Mark as New

Though you install the Jungo driver windows is not able to realize that this is the one for the new PCI device. You have to assign the driver manually. So select manual install, list all devices, select the Jungo category and than select altera/PCIe performance demo. It worked for me with both reference design.

I get Stratix IV GUI for Perfomance demo, and when I press scan motherboard PCI bus gives message "Unable to detect a PCI express board compatible with this software application" . Is there any other application to be run for Cyclone IV? I programmed the FPGA with ...\C4gx15_starter_qsys_pcie_gen1x1\c4gx_qsys_pcie_gen1x1\top.flash . Thanks

Hello, laland!
Apparently You programmed Your board with the wrong *.sof or *.flash GUI for Perfomance demo automatically detects the right Kit and the appropriate FPGA logo appears in GUI.
