How can I connect between Stratix 10 DX Development Kit and PCIe devices through SlimSAS cable

Hello,

I have a Stratix 10 DX FPGA Dev. Board.

I would like to connect between the board and PCIe device through SlimSAS connector.

I have seen that one SlimSAS connector for TX and another SlimSAS connector for RX.

This is not compatible SNIA cable for PCIe 4 lane or 8 lane connection.

As the SNIA spec., one SlimSAS cable use TX and RX channels.

If Intel can suggest how to use P-tile for PCIe device through SlimSAS, it will be helpful for me.

Thanks.

Hi,

For SlimSas connector you may refer to the user guide below under session A.8

Hope this answer your question.

Thanks for your answer.
I had checked that information.
However the pin map tx, rx does not match trivial PCIe connection through SlimsSAS cable 8i.
Do I need to make daughter board for converting pin map?

Thanks,

Hi,

To be honest I not familiar with Slimsas.

My expert of support is only for FPGA board and its design example.

You may try the connection as what you suggested.

But detail, I do suggest you to reach out the Slimsas support.
