How can I use USB keyboard with the DE1-SoC board?

I know it would be way easier to use the PS2 ports, but I only have USB keyboards and they do not have the PS2 fallback option. I have found this link https://www.intel.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_US/pdfs/literature/an/an702.pdf, but it does not say how to use the HPS to read in data from the keyboard. What can I do or where in the web can I go to find a way to use the USB keyboard on my board?
